   They had a Tool-like video on their oldest album for Mia I think it was. Pete sounds like Maynard from Tool (though not THAT much) and some songs have a Tool ’sound’ to them. However you can’t say there’s a lot of similarities as Tool is very much weirder and more complicated whereas Chevelle is more radio friendly and simple. Plus he’s said Tool is one of his influences, I’d guess it’s Maynard’s vocals. I’d pick Chevelle between the two though :]

   You can’t actually believe that Chevelle is only influenced by *one* other band… the tool similarities are absurdly obvious, too much so to deny, rationally.

   I’m sure if you ask the members, they’ll rattle off an impressive list of “influences” that add up to FAR more than just… “helmet.”

    srcdisaster, are you basically saying any song without stupid screamo shit is considered pop? Just because Chevelle oes not needlessly scream and you can understand what they are singing about does not mean they are pop rock…. I consider this alternitive metal rock and some really good music

    I wish this was as single! Would have been a better choice rather than “Letter From a Thief” but that’s just my opinion. Maybe it will be next!
